Deadline for chapter proposals: June 9, 2025
As the Atlantic Institute moves forward with The Equity Review, our flagship biennial publication, we are excited to announce that the call for chapter proposals is now open.
The Equity Review is an open-access publication and we are actively engaged in discussions towards a potential partnership with Oxford University Press. The inaugural issue will focus on advancing a fair and equitable shift to a green future, exploring the intersection of equity, climate justice, and sustainability. We invite proposals that address how climate transitions — often framed as environmental and technological imperatives — are also critical opportunities to confront and redress systemic inequities. As the climate crisis intensifies, the need for inclusive, intersectional, and justice-oriented responses that recognize the uneven distribution of climate risks and benefits across communities, geographies, and generations has become ever more urgent. In this context, the publication aims to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and regions and offer interdisciplinary, intersectional perspectives on what a just transition entails.
The Equity Review welcomes proposals from changemakers dedicated to advancing equity through rigorous analysis, lived experience, and transformative practice. We especially encourage applications from individuals who are Fellows or participants in leadership initiatives or fellowship programs aligned with our values and committed to systemic change.
