New Appointment Announced as Part of a Refreshed Leadership Structure

The Atlantic Institute is delighted to announce that Abi Diamond has been appointed as the new Head of Operations following a competitive selection process.

Abi has a strong track record of overseeing a wide range of functions, including operations, delivery, systems and project management – both at the Atlantic Institute and in previous roles throughout her career. She has shown she is strongly aligned with the organisation’s mission, vision and values, and brings forward-thinking ideas on how to improve our operations in line with our future trajectory.

In addition to a track record of financial and operational leadership, Abi has led teams to secure various processes and implement new systems across IT and data, finance and investment, and monitoring and learning. She accomplished this while also supporting high-performing teams and fostering a positive and supportive working culture.

From July 1, Abi will take on responsibility for ensuring the efficiency of the Institute’s operations and procedures. She will support the financial management of the Institute and oversee how its systems and policies are understood, aligned and implemented across the Atlantic Institute team and its affiliates. This role will also include oversight of the Atlantic Fellows Residence, Kopanong, and a close collaboration with the Atlantic Institute Executive Director to support governance-related events and information needs.

We are delighted to welcome Abi to the Institute’s refreshed Leadership Team, where she will be an integral part of the next phase of our work and strategy.
