The Atlantic Institute is delighted to invite applications for the Volume Editor of the inaugural edition of The Equity Review, a new biennial, open-access publication currently being developed through active discussion with Oxford University Press.
Through transformative dialogue, The Equity Review will connect researchers, practitioners and voices from communities directly impacted by inequities, providing essential insights and innovative solutions that bring lasting improvements to people’s lives by addressing the causes of systemic challenges. This flagship publication will blend research, lived experiences and expert analysis to advance equity, offering different perspectives on climate change, health, racial and gender justice, social and economic inequality and more.
The first edition, launching in October 2026, will explore the theme: “Advancing a Fair and Equitable Shift to a Green Future.”
It will be followed by a global summit in 2027 to further dialogue and action on this critical theme.
Please note: This role is subject to approval of the publication proposal being submitted to the Delegates of the Press at the University of Oxford in August 2025. Pending approval, the consultancy would commence in October 2025 and run through to October 2026.
Position summary
We are seeking an experienced, equity-driven Editor to coordinate and oversee the editorial development of the inaugural edition of The Equity Review. The Editor will play a central role in shaping the intellectual and editorial vision of the publication, in collaboration with Oxford University Press, the Atlantic Institute and an expert Advisory Group
